Compassionate, detail-oriented, and fiercely dedicated, Kelsey Hudson brings both heart and precision to her family law practice. She is particularly known for her work representing Guardians ad Litem—advocates who ensure that the youngest voices in the legal system are heard.
Kelsey completed her Bachelor of Arts in European History at Dalhousie University in 2010, followed by her Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law in 2013. During law school, she spent three years participating in and leading a volunteer program through Pro Bono Students Canada, supporting immigrants and refugees at the Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia. She also gained hands-on family law experience through the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic. Kelsey was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2014 and joined Conrad Dillon Robinson in March 2020, after several years practising family law with a Dartmouth-based firm.
Kelsey maintains a practice focused exclusively on family law and child protection. She represents clients in parenting, support, and divorce matters, and acts as Guardian ad Litem for children in child protection proceedings. Her work frequently involves appearances before the Supreme Court (Family Division).
Clients and colleagues alike value Kelsey’s practicality, solution-based approach, deep knowledge of the legislation, and commitment to justice. She aims to help families navigate difficult situations with empathy, clear guidance, and a focus on long-term well-being.
Kelsey is active in the legal community, having served on committees with the Supreme Court (Family Division), including the E-Court Advisory Committee and the COVID-19 Response Committee for Child Protection. She has presented at a CBA Family Law Conference and volunteered with the National Canadian Lawyers’ Initiative, providing pro bono family law support to improve access to justice.
Outside of her legal practice, Kelsey enjoys cooking, traveling, and hiking with her dog, Lenny. She lives in the Halifax area and cherishes time spent with her family.
