  • Grounded, compassionate, and driven by a strong sense of justice, Maeve McCabe is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate crisis with care and dignity. Her practice focuses on family law and child protection, where she advocates for her clients with clarity, empathy, and resolve.

    Maeve earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Saint Mary’s University in 2018 before completing her law degree at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2022. She also received a Certificate in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law, reflecting her ongoing commitment to reconciliation and culturally informed legal practice. Maeve was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2023 and joined Conrad Dillon Robinson’s Family Law team shortly thereafter.

    During law school, Maeve was an active member of Dalhousie’s Pro Bono Students Canada chapter. She contributed to several access-to-justice initiatives with the Indigenous Blacks and Mi’kmaq Initiative (IB&MI), Immigration Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS), and the Dalhousie Pardon Project. Her academic excellence was recognized with the H. Carl Goldenberg, Q.C. Prize for highest standing in public law, as well as the NSBS Race and the Law Essay Prize.

    Maeve maintains a growing practice in family and child protection law. She supports clients with parenting arrangements, protection matters, and family breakdowns—bringing a thoughtful and collaborative approach to each file.

    Clients appreciate Maeve’s calm presence, strong communication, and grounded perspective. She aims to help clients feel heard, supported, and empowered through the legal process.

    Outside the office, Maeve is deeply involved in her community. She volunteers with the Dartmouth Community Fridge and Storybook Theatre, a children’s theatre company. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, cooking, and exploring the outdoors with her family.
